Rebecca Lane is a musician who explores intonation, focusing on extended just intonation & alternative tuning systems and the perceptual & relational aspects of sounding/activating this acoustic phenomena with others. Thus her practice is informed by ongoing relationships and collaborations with composer-performers (such as Catherine Lamb & Clara de Asís) and within various duos and ensembles (eg. Sam Dunscombe, Harmonic Space Orchestra), utilizing various flutes (flutes, Kingma System quartertone bass flute, recorders) and occasionally voice or objects.

She has also worked with Eva-Maria Houben, Chiyoko Szlavnics, Sarah Hughes, Antoine Beuger, André O. Möller, Ernstalbrecht Stiebler, Ryoko Akama, Salvatore Sciarrino, Laura Steenberge, Anthony Pateras & Marc Sabat, among others. In early 2020 she co-initiated the Harmonic Space Orchestra, a research-performance collective exploring rational tuning/extended just intonation practices along with Catherine Lamb and Marc Sabat, and co-curates the Vibrant Matter sound series with Heather Frasch since 2017. Born in Melbourne, Australia, Rebecca is currently based in Berlin.
