Catherine Lamb, 2019, for 2 arpeggiating synthesizers, ~70′

The piece continues Lamb’s experiments with pointillism, in which brief articulations interact and build into lines that expand into what Lamb calls a ‘more complete form’. The piece was developed through a commission in 2019 during a process of close collaboration between Lamb and the musicians. In many ways, it is a union of Lamb’s formal and harmonic concerns with the aesthetics put forth in Lopez and Eubanks’ collaboration Natural Realms
