Marek Pospieszalski
Marek Pospieszalski is a saxophonist, composer, improviser, and sound artist—one of the most distinctive voices on Poland’s experimental and improvised music scene. His work spans free jazz, contemporary composition, and electroacoustic hybrids, marked by both intellectual rigor and visceral expressiveness. Pospieszalski leads acclaimed projects such as Polish Composers of the 20th Century, known for their fearless approach to structure, timbre, and cultural memory.
At Sanatorium of Sound 2025, alongside with Katarzyna Karpowicz, he will present a work for saxophone and Revox tape, exploring the relationship between live sound and recorded trace, presence and memory. The composition, built in real time, will resonate with the architecture of the space and the live interplay with other performers, merging intimacy with sonic intensity.
