Natalia Sielewicz
Natalia Sielewicz is an art historian and curator at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. Her curatorial work explores themes of identity, the body, the politics of affect, feminism, and the impact of technology on contemporary life. She is interested in art that not only comments on reality but also co-creates new languages and ways of being in the world. This belief shapes her exhibitions’ interdisciplinary character and openness to performance, experimental film, ephemeral acts, and literature.
In her practice, she negotiates the boundary between the personal and the universal. Consequently, autofiction often appears in her projects. She has curated numerous exhibitions at MSN, including Cruel Tales. Aleksandra Waliszewska and the Symbolism of the East and North (2022, with Alison Gingeras), Agnieszka Polska: The Millennium Plan (2021), Paint Means Blood: Women, Affect, and Desire in Contemporary Painting (2019), The Ministry of Internal Affairs: Intimacy as Text (2017), and Privacy Settings (2014).
