Sefa Sagir & Anna Klimczak – Fractured Reflections
Fractured Reflections is an interactive sound installation that responds to its surroundings and participants. The work collects data in real time. The delicate gestures of viewers, weather information, and signals about water movements in Polish rivers overlap, creating visual and sound vibrations. The installation reveals how many independent events and decisions—both personal and global—intertwine to form a complex, sometimes unpredictable whole.
The central element of the work is a bowl made of a satellite dish containing liquid. When light reflects off the water, dynamic images appear on the surface. Water becomes not only a visual and sound medium, but also a symbol of the flow of information.
Water, combined with a device used to receive signals from space, opens up a field for many interpretations.
The installation encourages viewers to pause and experience carefully: sounds, images, and their own gestures, which constantly co-create what we hear and see.
