Miłosz Kędra
Miłosz Kędra is a composer and sound artist whose practice unfolds at the intersection of electroacoustic music, self-designed instruments, and contemporary approaches to spatial composition. At the core of his work lies an interest in the relationships between the materiality of sound, the architecture of instruments, and the ways listening experiences are structured and perceived.
A central focus of Kędra’s practice is the pipe organ—not as an instrument bound exclusively to traditions of harmony and sacred music, but as a physical system of air, resonance, and acoustic matter. He approaches the organ as a structure capable of transcending established modes of listening and generating new relationships between space, frequency, and sonic presence.
His work encompasses both existing instruments and his own custom-built constructions, developing projects that move between composition, electroacoustic experimentation, and installation-based practices. Rather than emphasizing virtuosity, Kędra’s approach seeks to reveal the internal logic of the instrument and its capacity to generate complex acoustic environments.
He graduated in electroacoustic composition and completed a Master’s degree in New Media Music at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań. He is the author of the releases For Aeons (2021) and their internal diapasons, both of which attracted attention within the experimental music community for their distinctive approach to organ sound and its transformation beyond traditional performance context.
