LOUFR
LOUFR is the solo project of Piotr Bednarczyk, a composer and sound artist working at the intersection of electronic music and contemporary composition. His practice develops a distinctive approach to sound design, treating it as a means of exploring sonic textures and structures with a powerful subjective, physical, and emotional impact. The extra-musical themes running through his work often engage with the tensions and processes of global transformation, leading toward visions of a world in a constant state of change and disintegration.
His works have been presented at festivals including Musica Electronica Nova, Musica Polonica Nova, and GAIDA Festival. He has collaborated with ensembles such as Black Page Orchestra, Ensemble Adapter, Garage Ensemble, and Ensemble Kompopolex, and his music has been presented at venues including the National Forum of Music in Wrocław, the Musikverein Wien, and the Nacionalinė dailės galerija in Vilnius.
To date, LOUFR has released three solo albums: Vegetable Synthesis (Howard Records), Isolated Point (Digital in Berlin), and FEARS (Pointless Geometry). The latter further develops a defining characteristic of his work: the tension between heavily processed sound material and an intimate emotional dimension. By juxtaposing electronic sound with more organic sonic structures, FEARS demonstrates that even an experimental and abstract musical language can leave space for beauty, emotion, and gestures that extend beyond music itself.
