Kamilescu is a record collector with a deep passion for stripped-back electronic music. Throughout a career spanning more than a decade, he has remained committed—regardless of changing trends—to the more subtle shades of minimal, dub, and microhouse. Over nearly ten years, he has developed a distinctive style that balances dreamlike, narrative-driven selection with pure dancefloor energy. Through the DeepStation project, which he co-founded, he championed vinyl storytelling and uncompromising deep sounds built on a minimalist framework. His ongoing mission is to broaden the Polish audience’s appreciation of deep, dub, minimal, and microhouse music.

Since 2014, he has organised nearly 100 events across Poland under banners including DeepStation, DeepMix, Melting Point, and Underground Fungi Network, promoting dance events with a contemplative and meditative character. These initiatives have brought together DJs and producers from across the country, creating a unique niche within Poland’s club scene. Melting Point has since evolved from an event series into a record label showcasing artists associated with the Polish deep and minimal community. Kamilescu often emphasises that trust between the DJ and the audience is the most important element of a performance—it allows listeners to be guided into less obvious musical territories while collectively shaping the experience of the dancefloor.

Alongside his musical activities, Kamil is currently focused on designing analogue audio equipment for DJs and audiophiles. He also builds, repairs, and restores DJ and hi-fi equipment. In his view, great music should always be accompanied by high-quality sound reproduction.
