Polina Khatsenka, also known as Mudaki, is a Belarusian audiovisual artist, sound designer, and curator of sound art, currently living and working in Ústí nad Labem. Her artistic practice explores sound through sound performances, site-specific installations, and compositions. She is currently pursuing a PhD at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University, where she is researching the topic “Place versus Presence: Auditory Perception as an Existential Tool in the World of Digital Culture.”
Collaboration is a key element of her work – she often operates within artistic networks and independent spaces (offspaces), organizing projects independently and from the ground up. Her work expands the perception of both intimate and communal environments by engaging with invisible physical fields and existential questions. As a co-founder of the phonon~ crew collective, she organizes events presenting experimental electronic and electroacoustic music in quadraphonic, octophonic, and ambisonic formats.
