Kama Sokolnicka is a visual artist. Her practice is based in montage as a conceptual process. It stands in for the movement of thoughts and investigations on what is happening between the transmitter and receiver. Soundless installations and drawings often revolve around the sound. Her works are remarks on imperfection, a layperson’s mistakes in reading, listening and understanding. Perception, emanation and transmission remain central to her research.
