Hubert Zemler

Hubert Zemler (born 1980) is a drummer, composer, music producer, and improviser freely moving between musical categories. He is a respected interpreter of new music, jazz drummer, author of solo albums on the border of avant-garde, electronics, and ethnic music, and creator of soundtracks for films, animations, and theater plays. An active member of the Warsaw independent music scene centered around the LADO ABC association. He co-creates the bands Opla (with Piotr Bukowski), CEL (duet with Felix Kubin), Zemiter (with Marcin Dymiter), and the band Proszek. He is interested in subtly crossing stylistic boundaries, focusing on organicity and a strong emotional message.
