Paweł Romańczuk
Pawel Romańczuk (born 1975) – musician, composer, founder of the Small Instruments group in Wroclaw.
He received his musical education in the double bass class at the State Music School of the First Degree in Boleslawiec. Since 2006 he has been developing his search for unusual sound sources. He builds his own instruments, playing constructions and creates sound installations. He has amassed a unique collection of more than 600 unusual instruments, used in concert, recording and publishing activities. He has composed music for more than 20 films and theatrical performances. He has published his work in Poland, Japan and France. He has played about 300 concerts in Europe and Asia.
Among his collaborators are: Pierre Bastien, Margaret Leng Tan, Evan Ziporyn, Jean-Marc Zelwer, Chris Baldwin, Ghédalia Tazartès, Andrzej Załęski, Robert Nizinski, Paweł Czepułkowski, Piotr Kurek, Cinema Teather, Mariusz Wilczyński, Cezary Duchnowski, Kostas Georgakopulos, Paweł Hendrich, Slawomir Kupczak, Transfusion, Moon, Svitlana Nianio, In-Between and many other artists.
