Nets

The final frame of the multimedia work “Sound Healing Rituals” (2023) was shot at the Nymphaeum, the deep well of Sokołowsko. This year, we used this place as a starting point for our work. The well, with its incredible acoustic properties, became a space for us to immerse ourselves through the sounds we produced. On the other hand, we treated it as a separate entity. We explored this entity to understand its nature. The well is not just its depth with an amazing echo. We discovered the resonant walls and the ceiling pulsing with a drone. This ceiling is the top layer of the earth, the ground we walk on. We orbited like satellites between this interior and exterior. We felt as though we were communing with some extraordinary creature, a whale, to which we could entrust deep thoughts and desires. We resonated in a four-part harmony, seemingly circular, moving from beneath and above.

The nets were created especially for Sanatorium of Sound 10. The nets consist of a cinema part with a video projection and an open-air concert by the pond.
